Narrative expectation
We can hear a man’s voice about the war in Baghdad. The noise in the background is a plane that is just about to talk off. This brings the mood to the film as it gets viewers right into the film
The pace of the film is extremely fast to start of with. This connotes danger and trouble.
When the first picture is shown it starts in a dark setting. This shows that the film is a thriller and included lots of action
You can hear lots of people male and female shouting. This immediately creates tension and makes the viewer feel scared.
A man is ordering people. This shows he is the main character in the film.
He wears an armored suit with a helmet. This implies he is fighting in a war. It gives a scene of normality as his team is wearing the same type of clothes.
Matt Damon seems very tense as he is about to fight in a war he says “everybody stay focused, this is it”
